The KCD2-STC-Ex1.2O Safety Barrier is suitable for intrinsically safe applications. This device can supply power to 2-wire transmitters installed in hazardous areas or be used as a power source. It converts analog input signals into two mutually isolated output signals transmitted to the safe area. It supports bidirectional communication with smart transmitters, transmitting data via current modulation and receiving data via voltage modulation. The output can be selected via switch as active, passive, or voltage source. A test interface for connecting HART communicators is also integrated into the device's terminals.
