Patterned anti-slip conveyor belts are inclined conveyor belts composed of patterned cover rubber on the working surface, flat cover rubber on the non-working surface, and a belt core. The belt surface features herringbone patterns that are higher than the belt body; these patterns can be open or closed, and each pattern type can be further divided into high, medium, and low profiles.

(1) Belt core material: ordinary cotton canvas (CC), nylon (NN), polyester (EP), etc.

(2) Belt width: 300–800 mm

(3) Pattern height: 5, 10, 15, 20 mm. Note: Pattern shapes can be customized according to user requirements.

(4) Characteristics: Suitable for conveying powdered, granular, and small lump materials at angles of 0–40°, and can also handle bagged materials. Prevents material slippage.

Composition

Patterned anti-slip conveyor belts consist of two parts: the base belt and the patterns.

Common Varieties

Due to differences in conveyed materials and inclination angles, the required pattern shapes and heights vary. Common varieties include: herringbone, figure-eight, fishbone, U-shape, cylindrical, and dimpled patterns. Custom designs are also available based on user requirements, suitable for conveying powdered, granular, and lump materials at angles less than 30 degrees.

Maintenance

During transportation and storage, patterned anti-slip conveyor belts should be kept clean, avoiding direct sunlight or exposure to rain and snow. Contact with acids, alkalis, oils, organic solvents, and other substances should be prevented, and they should be stored at least one meter away from heat sources.

Storage warehouse temperature should be maintained between 18–40°C, with relative humidity between 50–80%.

During storage, conveyor belts must be placed in rolls and not folded. They should be turned over once every quarter.

Belts of different types, specifications, or ply counts should not be joined together; splicing is best done using vulcanization methods.

The type, structure, specification, and number of plies of the conveyor belt should be selected appropriately based on usage conditions.

Belt operating speed should generally not exceed 2.5 m/s. For large, abrasive materials and fixed discharge devices, lower speeds are recommended.

The relationship between the drive roller diameter and the belt ply count, the matching of drive and bend pulleys, and the troughing angle of idlers should be selected according to the conveyor design specifications.

The feeding direction should align with the belt's movement. To reduce impact from falling materials, use chutes to shorten the drop height. The receiving section should have reduced idler spacing and buffer idlers to prevent leakage. Use appropriately soft skirting boards to avoid damaging the belt surface.

Usage Precautions

With the widespread use of conveyor belts in industrial production, manufacturers focus on aspects such as variety, high performance, lightweight design, multifunctionality, and long service life. Correct usage is crucial. The following precautions should be observed:

1. Avoid idlers being covered by material, which may hinder rotation; prevent material from jamming between rollers and the belt; lubricate moving parts appropriately but avoid contaminating the belt with oil;

2. Prevent the conveyor belt from starting under load;

3. If the belt runs off track, take corrective measures promptly;

4. For local damage, repair with artificial cotton promptly to prevent expansion;

5. Avoid obstruction by frames, supports, or lump materials to prevent tearing or rupture.
