Practical use has proven that MPS3181 is highly effective in removing the following types of scale: calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, barium sulfate, strontium sulfate, calcium fluoride, silica, and iron. It can control the Langelier Saturation Index (LSI) in concentrated water up to 3.0, Fe3? content up to 1.5 mg/l, and silica content up to 185 mg/l. It is compatible with reverse osmosis membranes and TFC membranes from Dow Chemical (Filmtec), Hydranautics, as well as domestic membranes and nanofiltration membrane elements.
