How to Choose Wire Rope Clips for Lifting Machinery and Hoisting Equipment?

1. "Wire Rope Clips (National Standard Forged)" are suitable for more critical load-bearing environments.Recommended industries: cranes, pile engineering machinery, mining, metallurgical equipment, oil drilling rigs, port machinery, elevators, and other hoisting machinery. According to Clause 4.2.4 of Standard GB/T 5976—2006 "Wire Rope Clips," when clips are used on cranes, it is recommended to use forged rope clips. (Reference: GB/T5976-2006 Wire Rope Clips).

Tieren Machinery has observed that some cast rope clips on the market may have defects such as pores or sand holes. Under destructive heavy pressure, the clip base may break. However, wire rope clips (national standard forged) have undergone multiple destructive heavy pressure tests, and even if the clip base undergoes plastic deformation, it will not shatter.

2. When selecting wire rope clips, first identify the lay direction of the wire rope, i.e., right lay and left lay. According to the standard, the surface of the rope clip groove should match the lay direction of the wire rope. Therefore, wire rope clips are also divided into left clips and right clips and should be selected appropriately, as they are not interchangeable.
