Rubber and Plastic Release Agent

Rubber and plastic release agents are also water-soluble, meaning their internal components can completely dissolve in water. Emulsions of compounds such as methyl silicone oil are commonly used in industrial applications. These emulsions are water-soluble and offer advantages such as high heat resistance, easy cleaning, good corrosion and fire resistance, minimal environmental pollution, and relatively safe transportation and storage.

Due to their high water content, water-based rubber and plastic release agents differ in many aspects from traditional oil-based or solvent-based release agents. The effectiveness of these release agents depends on a thin film, only a few micrometers thick, deposited on the cavity surface after spraying. Therefore, there are higher requirements for ingredient selection and application processes. However, their advantages are also significant, including facilitating automated operations, providing excellent cooling effects, preventing residue buildup, improving the surface quality of castings, reducing internal porosity, ensuring safety in use, maintaining clean production, and reducing environmental pollution.

Rubber and plastic release agents exhibit strong adhesion, allowing them to preferentially adhere to the mold without transferring to the molded part. They can also modify the resin surface, enhancing resin flowability and improving surface quality. They are widely used for mold release in products such as silicone rubber and plastics.

Precautions for Using Rubber and Plastic Release Agents
1. Dilute with water (dilution ratio 3-10 times as appropriate), and mix thoroughly. The dilution ratio can also be adjusted based on on-site requirements. It is advisable to use the diluted mixture in one go.
2. Apply using a spray gun or roller brush. Allow the model coated with the release agent to dry completely before pouring concrete.
3. Clean the surface of the template or model before application.
4. Store at room temperature, protect from freezing and direct sunlight. After opening, ensure the container is sealed and stored properly.
5. Avoid application during rainy conditions. If the applied coating is washed away by rain, reapply before proceeding with construction.
