They require higher mold temperatures to allow rapid evaporation of the water content. Water-based release agents are widely used in industries such as cultured stone, concrete, gypsum lines, and epoxy resin, offering advantages such as facilitating automated operations, effective cooling, no accumulation, and improved surface quality of castings. Oil-based release agents, on the other hand, are primarily composed of organic solvents, free of CFA, environmentally friendly, non-toxic, non-corrosive to products and molds, and do not affect secondary processing of products, leaving no oily residue on the surface. Oil-based release agents are particularly suitable for the molding of large plastic shell products, offering benefits such as quick release, multiple release cycles, improved product quality, enhanced glossiness, and increased production efficiency. Oil-based release agents generally cannot be diluted with water and require solvents like dichloromethane, petroleum ether, or gasoline for dilution based on the oil content ratio.
