Ultrapure water systems utilize methods such as pretreatment, reverse osmosis technology, ultrapurification treatment, and post-treatment to almost completely remove conductive media from water, as well as reduce colloidal substances, gases, and organic materials that do not dissociate to very low levels. Ultrapure water systems are also known as: ultrapure water units, ultrapure water equipment, ultrapure water instruments, ultrapure water systems, and laboratory ultrapure water units. The resistivity of the ultrapure water produced by these systems should generally be greater than 10 megohms; water with a resistivity above 10 megohms is considered ultrapure water. High-quality ultrapure water can achieve a resistivity of 18.25 megohms.

Laboratory ultrapure water systems are broadly divided into four units: pretreatment, reverse osmosis, ion exchange, and terminal ultrafiltration. Tap water first passes through the pretreatment unit to remove larger particles, suspended solids, and some organic matter. It then enters the reverse osmosis unit, which intercepts and removes ionic substances and macromolecular substances (such as viruses, microorganisms, etc.). Afterwards, it goes through the ion exchange unit to purify and ultrapurify the residual trace ions left after membrane treatment, reducing the ion content in the water to trace levels. Finally, technologies such as UV and ultrafiltration ensure that the microorganisms, organic matter, and pyrogens in the ultrapure water meet the requirements of various laboratory applications.

4. Features self-diagnosis for operational abnormalities (water quality and quantity of feed water, pre-purified water, and ultrapure water), with alerts or automatic system shutdown.

5. Intelligent fault detection (online replacement indicators for key system components: solenoid valves, booster pumps, UV lamps, sensors, etc.).
