The air-box pulse bag filter is applied in industries such as metallurgy, mining, machinery, cement, building materials, grain, pharmaceuticals, light industry, and electric power to capture fine and dry non-fibrous dust.

It plays a significant role in eliminating dust pollution, protecting the environment, improving working conditions, safeguarding workers' health, and recovering valuable materials.

Since its introduction in the 1950s, the pulse bag filter has been continuously improved through domestic and international use, achieving significant development in purifying dust-laden gases. Due to advancements in dust-cleaning technology and a substantial increase in the air-to-cloth ratio, it features large air handling capacity, small footprint, high purification efficiency, reliable operation, simple structure, and minimal maintenance. With a dust removal efficiency of over 99.5%, it is a mature and highly efficient dust removal device.

The air-box pulse bag filter combines the advantages of compartment reverse blowing and pulse jet cleaning dust collectors, overcoming the drawback of simultaneous filtering and cleaning in pulse jet systems that leads to poor cleaning effectiveness, thereby expanding its application range.

Due to its unique structure, it significantly enhances dust removal efficiency and extends the service life of filter bags, making it a high-performance bag filter.

Dust Removal Principle: 

 The air-box pulse bag filter is a compartmentalized, modular structure that uses a top-mounted pulse valve to perform compartmentalized, off-line pulse cleaning (i.e., offline cleaning) of the filter bags in each chamber alternately.

Unlike conventional jet pulse cleaning, where cleaning occurs in the same filtering chamber while other chambers continue filtering, the air-box pulse bag filter cleans one chamber by closing the valve to stop filtration. The dislodged dust settles downward into the ash hopper without secondary dispersion, making it suitable for filtering gases with high dust concentrations and allowing for bag replacement in one chamber without shutting down the system.

Structural Composition:

The air-box pulse bag filter is divided into four series based on the number of bags per chamber: 32, 64, 96, and 128 bags per chamber. Each series is further categorized by the number of chambers, totaling 33 specifications.

Its structure consists of the following components:

(1) Casing section: Includes the clean air chamber (or gas purification box), filtering chamber, compartment partitions, access doors, and casing structure. The clean air chamber is equipped with a poppet valve and tube sheet, as well as jet pipes; the filtering chamber contains filter bags and their frames.

(2) Ash hopper and discharge mechanism: Includes the ash hopper and, depending on the series and inlet dust concentration, either a screw conveyor or a rigid star valve (discharge valve).

(3) Inlet and outlet air plenums: Include inlet and outlet ducts and intermediate partitions. Single-row (or single-column) structures are arranged on one side of the casing, while double-row (or double-column) structures are placed in the middle.

(4) Pulse cleaning device: Includes pulse valves, air reservoirs, pneumatic cylinders for poppet valves, and their solenoid valves.

(5) Compressed air pipelines and pressure reduction devices, oil-water separators, and oil mist eliminators.

(6) Support columns and vertical cage ladders with railings.
