Dissolution Method Before use, dissolve solid granules into an aqueous solution with a concentration of 1‰–5‰ (1g–5g polyacrylamide dissolved in 1000g of water) to ensure rapid effectiveness. When adding the chemical, adopt a gradual dosing method by slowly introducing it into the water to ensure uniform dispersion and dissolution. 2. Addition of Dissolved Solution Typically, add an aqueous solution of about 1‰–3‰ concentration. However, in cases of high turbidity and high viscosity of the suspension, it is recommended to further dilute the solution to 5‰ for easier mixing and optimal effectiveness. 3. Cationic polyacrylamide has a lower molecular weight than anionic polyacrylamide, resulting in lower viscosity. Therefore, the standard concentration ratio for cationic and non-ionic types should be slightly higher than that for anionic polyacrylamide. The recommended concentration is 3‰–1‰. 4. When adding the dissolved chemical to sewage, the dosage can be adjusted based on the turbidity of the sewage. Generally, add 10–50g of the diluted chemical solution per 1000g of sewage. Precautions: 1. When preparing polyacrylamide aqueous solutions, use enamel, galvanized, aluminum, or plastic containers. Do not prepare or store the solution in iron containers. 2. During dissolution, ensure the product is evenly and slowly added into a dissolver equipped with stirring and heating mechanisms. Avoid clumping. Prepare the solution at an appropriate temperature and avoid prolonged excessive mechanical shear. It is recommended to use a stirrer at 60–200 rpm, as higher speeds may cause polymer degradation and reduce effectiveness. Stir for 40 minutes to one hour, with the water temperature preferably not exceeding 50°C.
