PC sheets are primarily flat, and to lap with color steel sheets, additional auxiliary measures are needed. Roof color steel sheets are all wavy, making joint treatment difficult, resulting in high construction costs, time-consuming, and labor-intensive. Additionally, due to the influence of the manufacturing process, the seams of PC sheets require aluminum edge pressing treatment. Furthermore, secondary purlins need to be added to the materials, increasing construction costs and complexity. Moreover, due to the high coefficient of thermal expansion, expansion allowances must be calculated during construction. These factors make leakage very likely. It is recommended that you consider purchasing PC corrugated sheets. They are made from the same raw materials as endurance sheets, so their performance is similar. PC sheets are made of polycarbonate with a light transmittance of about 85%. When light passes through, it does not easily produce diffuse scattering but only refraction, resulting in distinct light bands on the ground. When people look up, they may find it glaring and dazzling, making it uncomfortable during work.

Sunlight Panel Product Characteristics:

(1) Light Transmittance: PC sunlight panels have a high light transmittance of up to about 89%, comparable to glass. UV-coated panels do not easily yellow, fog, or lose transmittance when exposed to sunlight. After ten years, the loss of transmittance is about 10%, while PVC loses 15–20%, and fiberglass loses about 12–20%.
(2) Impact Resistance: The impact strength is about 250–300 times that of ordinary glass, 30 times that of acrylic sheets of the same thickness, and 2–20 times that of tempered glass. They are renowned as "unbreakable glass" and "sounding steel."
(3) UV Protection: One side of the PC panel is co-extruded with an anti-UV coating, and the other side has anti-condensation treatment, integrating UV resistance, thermal insulation, and anti-fogging functions. It blocks ultraviolet rays from passing through, making it suitable for protecting valuable artworks and exhibits from UV damage.
(4) Light Weight: The specific gravity is about half that of glass, saving costs in transportation, handling, installation, and support frameworks.
(5) Flame Retardancy: According to the GB50222—95 standard, PC sunlight panels are classified as flame-retardant, i.e., B1 grade. The self-ignition point of PC panels is about 580°C, and they self-extinguish after being removed from fire. They do not produce toxic gases when burning and do not contribute to the spread of flames.
(6) Bendability: They can be cold-bent on-site according to design drawings to form arches, semi-circular roofs, and windows. The minimum bending radius is about 175 times the panel thickness, and they can also be heat-bent.
(7) Sound Insulation: PC sunlight panels have significant sound insulation effects, offering better acoustic insulation than glass and acrylic sheets of the same thickness. Under the same thickness conditions, the sound insulation of PC sunlight panels is about 5–9 dB higher than that of glass. They are the material of choice for sound barriers on highways.
(8) Energy Efficiency: Cool in summer and warm in winter, PC sunlight panels have a lower thermal conductivity (K-value) than ordinary glass and other plastics. Their thermal insulation effect is about 7–25% higher than that of glass of the same thickness, with thermal insulation efficiency up to about 49%. This significantly reduces heat loss, making them suitable for buildings with heating equipment.
(9) Temperature Adaptability: PC panels do not become brittle at -40°C and do not deform at 125°C. Their mechanical and physical properties remain largely unchanged even in harsh environments.
(10) Weather Resistance: PC sunlight panels can maintain the stability of various physical indicators within a range of -40°C to 120°C. After 4000 hours of artificial weathering tests, the yellowing degree is 2, and the reduction in light transmittance is about 0.6%.
(11) Anti-Condensation: When the outdoor temperature is 0°C, the indoor temperature is 23°C, and the indoor relative humidity is below 80%, the inner surface of the material does not condense. Condensation will flow along the surface of the panel and will not drip.
