Ventilation skylights are used for air exchange in the roofs of light and heavy steel structures. They are classified by function into slope-aligned skylights and ridge skylights, as well as electric and natural skylights. By shape, they are categorized as arched, diamond-shaped, polygonal, or thin-type. A ventilation skylight consists of an outer protective plate, rain shield, deflector, drainage channel, flap plate, and an electric or manual actuator. The flap plate is operated either electrically or manually. Based on throat width, they are available in various models: 80 cm, 1.2 m, 1.5 m, 2.5 m, 3.5 m, 4 m, 5 m, 6 m, 7 m, 8 m, 9 m, 10 m, 11 m, and 12 m.
