1. Working Principle
- The 200L multi-effect distilled water machine also operates on the principle of multi-effect evaporation. Feed water (typically purified water) enters the system and is heated by external steam in the first-effect evaporator, generating steam. This steam then serves as the heat source for the second-effect evaporator, driving the evaporation of water in the second effect, and so on. Through multiple evaporation-condensation cycles across several evaporators, impurities are retained in the concentrated water, while high-purity steam condenses into distilled water in the final-effect evaporator.
2. Structural Components
- Evaporator: Consists of multiple evaporators connected in series, such as triple-effect or quadruple-effect evaporators. The main body of the evaporator is generally made of stainless steel, offering excellent thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance. Its internal structure is designed to ensure thorough and efficient water evaporation.
- Preheater: Used to preheat the feed water to improve energy efficiency. It utilizes waste heat from the system, such as the heat from condensate, to raise the temperature of the feed water before it enters the evaporator.
- Condenser: Responsible for condensing the steam generated in the final-effect evaporator into liquid distilled water. The condenser employs various cooling methods, some using circulating cooling water, with structures such as shell-and-tube or plate-type designs to ensure effective heat exchange.
- Pumps: Include feed water pumps and distilled water transfer pumps. The feed water pump delivers feed water to the preheater and evaporator, while the distilled water transfer pump transports the produced distilled water to storage containers or points of use.
- Control System: Utilizes PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) or other intelligent control systems to monitor and regulate parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow rate. For example, it can automatically adjust steam flow and water circulation speed based on set parameters.
3. Performance Characteristics
- Stable Output: Capable of consistently producing approximately 200L of distilled water per hour, though actual output may vary slightly due to factors such as steam pressure and feed water quality.
- Energy Efficiency: Compared to single-effect distilled water machines, the multi-effect evaporation method efficiently utilizes steam thermal energy, reducing energy consumption. During production, heat transfer between each effect significantly enhances energy utilization.
- Water Quality Assurance: Produces high-purity distilled water, effectively removing impurities, microorganisms, and endotoxins from water. The water quality meets the high standards required by industries such as pharmaceuticals and healthcare, including standards for water for injection in the pharmaceutical industry.
