PZ Plane Cast Iron Gate is a water flow control device primarily made of cast iron, widely used in water conservancy projects such as reservoirs, rivers, and hydropower stations. It regulates water levels and intercepts flow by driving the gate plate up and down via a hoist.
Structural Composition
It consists of components such as the gate frame, gate plate, lifting seat, and tight sealing inclined iron. The gate frame serves as a support and sliding track, fixed in the secondary concrete of the gate pier and base slab with anchor bolts, evenly transferring water pressure to the gate chamber structure. The gate plate is the water-retaining component directly bearing water pressure, with cast iron borders around its periphery and transverse stiffeners to enhance rigidity.
Types and Specifications
Categorized by shape into flat (PZ) and arch (PGZ) types. The PZ type is suitable for small to medium-sized projects, while the PGZ type, with its 60-degree central angle design, reduces water pressure load. Common specifications range from width × height: 300×300 to 800×800 mm, with nominal diameters covering DN200×200 to DN3000×3000.
Sealing and Water Stoppage
Utilizes inclined iron or copper alloy facing structures, achieving bidirectional water stoppage through wedge devices and water pressure. Water leakage can be controlled within 0.03-0.07 liters/meter·second. The sealing surface gap is adjusted to within 0.1 mm to ensure tight contact between the gate plate and the sliding track.
Materials and Standards
The main materials are mostly HT250 gray cast iron or ductile cast iron. Manufacturing complies with CJ/T3006-92 and DL/T5018-2004 standards, with corrosion allowances reserved for key parts and stress relieved through aging treatment.
