Overview of External Shading System
The shading system effectively blocks sunlight outside the greenhouse, providing cooling and shading effects.
1. The system is primarily suitable for shading and cooling in summer, allowing partial sunlight to enter the greenhouse and preventing crop sunburn.

2.By adjusting the opening and closing of the shading net, the greenhouse's light requirements are met, and the indoor temperature is reduced.

3.The shading net provides protective functions such as hail prevention.

External Shading Frame
The columns are made of 50×50×2.0 square tubes, while the beams and purlins use 50×50×2.0 square tubes. Diagonal bracing between the end columns and the second row of columns is achieved using Ф25 hot-dip galvanized round tubes. All steel components are hot-dip galvanized.

Drive System and Installation

The gear and rack drive system uses gears and racks as the main driving and traction materials. During operation, the electric reduction motor drives the gear via a rotating shaft, and the gear moves the engaged rack. Push rods connected to both ends of the rack, under the traction of the rack, drive the movable edge of the system to achieve the opening and closing of the shading net.

1.Installation of the shading support rollers: The shading support rollers are installed on the greenhouse beams or trusses. The roller clamps are fixed to the greenhouse beams or truss chords using ST3.5mm×25mm self-drilling screws.

2.Installation of the reduction motor: The motor is installed on a column near the center of the greenhouse shading machine plane. The installation height is adjusted according to the actual site conditions. The motor is fixed to the column using a motor bracket secured with bolts.

3.Installation of the drive shaft: After installing the gear seat, measure the required length of the drive shaft. Cut, weld, and spray anti-rust paint according to the on-site length, then install it step by step and attach anti-slip clips.

4.Layout and installation of gears, racks, and push rods: The spacing of the push rods should be calculated based on the total length of the drive shaft. Push rods are connected to the shading rack using bolts.

5.Installation of the drive edge profile

The drive edge aluminum profile (shading drive aluminum) is placed between the support and pressure lines near the external shading beam. Two M6X10 screws are passed through the I-type connecting plate and tightened into the T-slot of the drive edge profile. The drive edge profile and push rod are fixed together using the push rod guide connecting clip and an M6X75 T-bolt.

6.Installation of the shading net

The shading net is laid flat and unfolded between the support and pressure lines. It is securely fixed to the drive edge aluminum using spring clips. Then, the shading net is straightened and leveled, and the support and pressure lines, along with the shading net, are fixed together using plastic-coated aluminum wires. A plastic-coated steel cable is stretched from top to bottom at both ends of the shading net at a distance of 50 cm, with windproof hooks installed at 400 mm intervals. Then, counterweights are fixed to both sides of the shading net using M6X10 screws. Note that the spacing of the counterweights should be determined based on local wind speed conditions, generally around 600 mm between adjacent counterweights.
