New Type Brick Plant Desulfurization Tower

     Brick plant desulfurization towers are primarily used to remove sulfur dioxide (SO2) generated during brick and tile production, thereby reducing environmental pollution. The following is a detailed introduction to the new type of brick plant desulfurization tower:

     Working Principle

     Wet desulfurization towers are the most commonly used type. Their working principle involves bringing SO2-containing flue gas into contact with an alkaline absorbent (such as limestone slurry or sodium hydroxide solution), allowing the SO2 to be absorbed and converted into stable compounds, such as calcium sulfate (CaSO4), thereby achieving SO2 removal. Depending on their structure and operational methods, wet desulfurization towers can be further categorized into the following types:

1. Spray Tower: Flue gas enters the tower from the bottom, while the absorbent liquid is sprayed from the top. The counter-current flow increases contact time and improves desulfurization efficiency.
2. Packed Tower: The interior is filled with specially shaped packing materials, which increase the contact area between the gas and liquid phases, further enhancing desulfurization effectiveness.
3. Bubble Column: Flue gas enters the tower through a distributor at the bottom, forming bubbles as it rises. These bubbles fully contact the absorbent liquid inside the tower, completing the SO2 absorption reaction.
