I. Introduction to ExxonMobil Isopar G Isoparaffin Product

Isopar G is an isoparaffinic solvent oil, belonging to the category of extraction solvent oils. It has a distillation range of 167–176°C, a flash point of 44°C, a density of 0.748 g/cm3, a viscosity of 1.49 mm2/s (25°C), an aromatic content of <0.005%, a relative evaporation rate of 0.18 (n-BuAc=1), a KB value of 27, a bromine number of <5 mg/100g, a surface tension of 23 mN/m (25°C), and a refractive index of 1.418 (20°C). The product is packaged in iron drums, with a specification of 150 kg per drum.

The advantages of Isopar G include: almost odorless, extremely narrow distillation range, low viscosity, compatibility with most product surfaces, easy volatility, and suitability for indirect food contact equipment.

Isopar G can be used as an industrial cleaning fluid (cleaning of metal products in processing industries, machinery and machine parts, automotive manufacturing, electronic and electrical equipment, maintenance cleaning, blanket cleaning, fiber and leather degreasing/cleaning, and dry cleaning of clothing), metalworking fluid (rust preventive oil, foundry fluids), solvent or diluent for decorative coatings (coatings for metal/plastics, wood coatings, marine coatings), PVC viscosity reducer (PVC medical gloves, PVC wallpaper, adhesives), carrier for PVC stabilizers, in the reverse osmosis membrane industry, and as an organic solvent for acyl chlorides.

III. Precautions

1. ExxonMobil environmentally friendly solvent oil drums feature an ExxonMobil anti-counterfeiting mark on the lid and an anti-counterfeiting barcode on the drum surface. Verify the brand to avoid counterfeits.

2. Environmentally friendly solvent oil should not be stored upright in outdoor environments to prevent contamination by moisture and impurities.

3. For indoor storage, place the drum upright with the top facing up for easy extraction.

4. Tighten the seal cap to maintain the drum's airtightness.

5. Do not place flammable materials nearby. Open flames are strictly prohibited, and do not bring ignition sources near the oil drum.

6. Store flammable specialty oils or chemical solvents separately and place flammable material signs.
