Anhui Weixiang New Material Co., Ltd. was established in March 2020 and is located in the Eastern Chemical Industrial Park of the National Tongling Economic and Technological Development Zone. The company is primarily engaged in the research and development, production, and sales of prostaglandin series products, high-purity display material series products, and alkane series products, as well as the construction and operation of a pilot base for high-end chemicals. With a total investment of 300 million yuan, the project is a key investment attraction initiative in Tongling City.

The project covers a land area of 31,750.95 square meters, with a building area of 18,834.98 square meters. Infrastructure includes a comprehensive building (R&D building), central control room, power center, auxiliary buildings, Class A warehouse, Class B warehouse, Class C warehouse, Workshop 1#, Workshop 2#, Workshop 3#, Class E tank area, Class A tank area, pump area, loading/unloading station, initial rainwater collection pond, emergency pond, circulating water pond, underground fire water pond, fire pump area, pipe rack, wastewater treatment area, Class E storage yard, and other facilities. Nearly a thousand units (sets) of production equipment, such as special steel reactors, high-efficiency distillation columns, microchannel reactors, and AI artificial intelligence synthesis technology R&D equipment, have been procured.

The project underwent overall planning and design, with infrastructure completed in one phase. Product production is planned to be rolled out in three phases. Upon completion, Phase I will achieve an annual production capacity of 15,500 tons of pharmaceutical intermediates such as chlorinated alkanes (e.g., 2-chloropropane and 1-chlorobutane), 4,000 tons of brominated alkane pharmaceutical intermediates (e.g., bromoethane and bromobutane), and 100 tons of other alkanes (e.g., 1-fluoro-3-iodopropane), generating an output value of 500 million yuan, tax revenue of 150 million yuan, and profit of 100 million yuan. Phase II will achieve an annual production capacity of 203.5 kilograms of prostaglandin series products, generating an output value of 600 million yuan, tax revenue of 180 million yuan, and profit of 120 million yuan. Phase III will achieve an annual production capacity of 150 tons of high-purity display materials for TF1LCD, generating an output value of 800 million yuan, tax revenue of 250 million yuan, and profit of 180 million yuan. Upon full completion, the entire project will achieve an output value of 1.9 billion yuan, tax revenue of 580 million yuan, and profit of 400 million yuan, while creating employment for nearly 300 people.

The company places great emphasis on scientific research investment and the construction of its R&D team, dedicating efforts to applied research and the commercialization of achievements in new pharmaceutical materials. Currently, the team consists of 26 professional technical personnel and maintains close collaboration with renowned universities and research institutions such as Zhejiang University, Nanjing University of Science and Technology, and the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The company has obtained multiple core patent technologies and research achievements, with developed products featuring high technological content and broad market application prospects, all supported by complete independent intellectual property rights. In particular, the adoption of atmospheric continuous synthesis to produce 99.9% high-purity alkane products has filled a domestic gap and holds a significant position in the market.

With the care and support of governments at all levels and relevant departments, the project (Phase I) has been fully completed. On January 23, 2025, the company obtained its work safety license and entered the formal production stage.
