Main Application Areas

1. Plasticizer Field (Core Application)

As an eco-friendly plasticizer, it replaces traditional phthalates (such as dibutyl phthalate and dioctyl phthalate) and is used in polymer materials like polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polyvinyl acetate (PVA):

Features: Good compatibility with polymers, capable of improving the flexibility, cold resistance, and processability of products;

Application Scenarios: Soft PVC products (such as wire and cable insulation layers, films, artificial leather), children's toys, food packaging materials (must comply with relevant safety standards, such as EU REACH regulations).

2. Solvents and Diluents

Due to its strong solvency power and moderate volatility (lower than most organic solvents), it is commonly used in coatings, inks, and adhesive systems as a solvent or diluent to improve the leveling and storage stability of products;

It can be used in extraction processes to separate and purify organic compounds (such as certain pharmaceutical intermediates and natural products).

3. Organic Synthesis Intermediates

Through reactions such as hydrolysis, ammonolysis, and hydrogenation, downstream high value-added products are prepared:

Hydrolysis reaction: Produces adipic acid (a key raw material for synthesizing nylon 66);

Ammonolysis reaction: Produces adipic diamide (further synthesized into polyamide materials);

Hydrogenation reaction: Under the action of a catalyst (such as copper-chromium catalyst), produces 1,6-hexanediol (used for producing polyurethanes and polyester resins).

4. Other Fields

Pharmaceutical industry: Used as a drug carrier or as an intermediate for synthesizing certain drugs (such as antiepileptics and analgesics);

Fragrance industry: Used in small amounts for blending fruit-type fragrances (such as apple and pear scents), or as a solvent for fragrances;

Cleaning agents: Used in the preparation of metal cleaning agents and industrial degreasers; due to its eco-friendliness, it can replace some chlorine-containing solvents.
