Structure and Working Principle The current collector is mainly composed of two parts: the tension device of the mechanical structure and the current collecting brush that directly slides and contacts the guide rail. The current collector is installed on the current collector bracket, which is installed on the moving equipment. As the equipment moves, the carbon brushes on the current collector slide in the guide rails of the sliding contact line to realize uninterrupted power supply.
To facilitate the sliding of the current collecting brushes and reduce wear, a copper sleeve with a 45-degree chamfer is usually inlaid at the root of the brushes, and bearings are installed in the guide wheels to make the current collector move flexibly and easily.
Types and Specifications According to different structures and uses, the current collectors can be divided into various types, such as small four-pole current collectors, large four-pole double-brush current collectors, arc-shaped current collectors and so on. The small four-pole current collector is suitable for use scenarios with current below 100A, while the large four-pole double-brush current collector is suitable for situations where the current exceeds 100A. The arc-shaped current collector is suitable for application scenarios with arc-shaped sliding contact lines.
Application Scenarios and Maintenance The crane current collector for sliding contact lines is widely used in mobile equipment such as cranes, assembly lines, traveling cranes, overhead cranes and so on. To ensure its normal operation and prolong its service life, regular inspection and maintenance are necessary. The inspection contents include the wear of the carbon brushes, the cleanliness of the guide rails, and the movement flexibility of the current collector. Replace worn carbon brushes and clean the guide rails when necessary to ensure the stability and safety of the power supply system.
