Shanghai Panda Industry(Group)Co., Ltd is a high and new-technology industry company and is the first specialized company in the world which engages in the kapok development and application. It is a system engineering that based on the multi inventions, guided by developing the application and technological development of kapok series materials with Donghua University and Shanghai Textile Science Research Institute and established the cooperation of planting wood cotton tree with Southwest Forestry University and China Academy of Sciences. At present, our president Mr. Yan Guoxin broke the existing spinning technology in the world and created an unique new spinning technology in the world. It rewrote the conclusion of "the kapok is suitable for being filling material but inappropriate to be used for spinning" in the "Encyclopedia", and has obtained many national patents for invention.

Being evaluated by China Academy of Sciences, our company's kapok product has advanced technology at home and abroad, some of the products have filled the world blank.

Our products now include: 1. Blended yarns that blending kapok with all kinds of natural fibers (cotton, camel wool, wool, cashmere, rabbit hair, silk, hemp, etc) as well as artificial fibers (nylon, acrylic, terylen, polypropylene, all kinds of viscose, PTT, etc), or 100% kapok. 2. High performance kapok thermal underwear. 3. Kapok batting serial products. 4. Garment that produced by choosing the kapok made face fabric: kapok made face fabric and garment for four seasons, the characteristics are: soft, comfortable, smooth, vivid, antistatic, moisture retentive, acid proof and alkali proof under normal temperature, environmental protection, etc. The already developed products include T-shirt series, underwear series, jeans series, swansdown, wool fabric, pile blanket, cotton thread blanket, towel and so on.

Kapok series product is a new type product in the textile industry. It is also initiated by us in the world, so it will play an important role in increasing our country textiles' foreign exchange earnings and breaking the trade barrier to the textile export.

Planting base construction: From the year of 2005 to 2007, our country provides 120,000 mu for kapok. Our company plans to finish planting within three years. Our company's planting is in accordance with the gist of No. 346 document of the State Council, also in accordance with the local policy in Yunnan province of returning land for farming to forestry. Forest can not only protect water and soil in Yunnan, but also lead the peasants to the road of getting rich. Kapok-planting can reach the three results: "ecological forest, scenic forest, economic forest". Meanwhile, it can ensure the material supply for production and application.

Through several years' efforts, the company has established a compact spinning production base with 100,000 spindles. The base also has an experimental plant which is equipped with two production lines of new type rotor spinning machines from RIFA, Schlafhorst and Rieter, respectively. And a fairly large production scale has been formed.

We have developed coloring agents, softening agents and bulking agents, which are special for and can fully express the lightness, softness and warm of kapok products. And our kapok wadding products have been successfully applied in home-textiles industry. Main products are kapok quilts, pillows, hairy blankets, etc for hotels.

During our R & D of products, the company has cooperated with several famous textiles and garments companies.
