Zhangjiagang Donggang Pharmaceutical Development Co., Ltd., which was founded in 1976, was moved into Jiangsu Yancheng City Coastal Chemical Industry Zone and has founded Yancheng City Donggang Pharmaceutical Development Co., Ltd., Binhai New Dongfeng Pharmaceutical Development Co., Ltd. and Binhai Jinfeng Import & Export Trade Co., Ltd. In August 2009, these companies merged into Yancheng City Donggang Pharmaceutical Development Co., Ltd. As a manufacturer specialized in pharmaceutical intermediates and fine chemicals, it now has become the world largest production base of acetonaphthalene—an intermediate used for producting non-steroid diminishing inflammation and killing pain medicine Naproxen. Moreover, we are also well known as a famous and reliable manufacturer of Bronopol and R/S Tetralone in intermediate trade market.

Through establishing strict QA and service systems, we are able to produce 100% qualified products. In April 1998, Donggang Pharm. was approved as ISO9002 proven company by BVQI; then in 2005 and 2008 separately, company obtained the certificates of ISO9001 quality system. Currently, Donggang Pharm. has built up 7 standard workshops, which are well equipped with enough power system, refrigerating installation and heating arrangement, etc. Now, our company has 150 sets of 100L-5000L stainless steel and enamel reactors, which can work in the temperature range from -25℃ to 300℃ and pressure range from full vacuum to 0.3Mpa. Up to now, we have owned abundant experiences in a series of reactions such as Brominating reaction, Friedel Crafts reaction, Diazo reaction, nitration reaction and hydrogenation reaction...etc. Thus we are skilled in the syntheses of related products based on these reactions.
Since we were founded in 1976, we have produced several kinds of chemicals such as dye, dye intermediates, pesticide intermediates, food additives, pharmaceutical intermediates and so on. Therefore we have trained and practically selected a batch of experienced managers and skilled frontline operators. Recently we have employed a total of 8 senior technical workers, engineers and technicians, which ensures our ability of producing quality-steady products and achieve sustainable development.
In addition, Donggang Pharm. established research institute named Zhangjiagang Pharmaceutical Material Development Research Institute; now, this institute has become an important part of our R&D center. On the basis of R&D center, we establish long-term cooperative relationships with Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry of CAS, Zhejiang University, Nanjing University, Southeast University and University of Science and Technology of China; and invest and found our laboratories in Southeast University and Chengdu Institute of Organic Chemistry of CAS to develop new products. At present, we annually invest a minimum of 8% of sales on the R&D. With the constant efforts we laid on creativity, improvement of present products and new product R&D, we have become a leading enterprise in pharmaceutical intermediate industry in China with leading technologies, technicians and creative ability.
