Properties and Applications

DTDM is used as a sulfur donor in efficient and semi-efficient vulcanization systems; it has heat resistance, anti-reversion and anti-aging properties in NR and synthetic rubbers; it does not bloom; and has excellent storage safety.

Performance: Sulfur vulcanizing agent DTDM is a white to light yellow acicular crystal or powder, soluble in ethanol and benzene, insoluble in water and aliphatic hydrocarbons.
Applications: Vulcanizing agent and vulcanization accelerator for natural rubber and synthetic rubber. DTDM can release free sulfur under normal vulcanization conditions. Unlike ordinary sulfur, it mainly forms monosulfide bonds and disulfide bonds, and the vulcanized rubber has excellent heat aging resistance. As a crosslinking agent, this product will not produce blooming similar to when using disulfiram disulfide. This product is usually used in compounds with low compression set and high requirements for heat aging resistance.
