Skyline's Chrome plated tube is manufactured from cold drawn seamless tubes in carbon steel grades such as SAE 1020,1026, E355 and ST52.3. Our chrome plated tubes are are centerless ground, polished on the outside diameters, and with a certain thickness of chrome plated layer, usually the thickness of chrome plated layer is min. 20 microns, but some times we provide chrome plated tubes with chrome layer 10 microns to 30 microns on request.

Compared to chrome plated bars, the chrome plated tubes can provide lighter unit weight when used as the hydraulic cylinder piston rods. Chrome plated tubes can also be offered with a honed inside diameter for telescoping hydraulic cylinder utilities.

Our factory can supply chrome plated tubes in size range OD 25 mm to OD 609 mm.

We can supply chrome plated tubes in fixed length or random length up to 12 meters.

Packing

Our chrome plated tubes usually are supplied in packing method as below:

1. Standard plastic sleeves or paper tubes (depending on the diameter size) packed in bundles. The tubes are oiled inside and closed with end caps.

2. Special Packaging (seaworthy protected) with additional cost is made with aluminum foil or vacuum bags.

3. Wooden boxes.

Applications:

The Chrome plated tubes can be used for manufacturing and repairing pneumatic cylinders, telescoping hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic cylinders and the applications where high precision and high smooth outside surface is required. This product is usually used together with honed cylinder tubes.
