Traditional mining buffer beds often fail to address the severe impact of large materials and gangue, leading to significant wear or even cuts on the belt surface of conveyor systems. Currently, traditional designs focus solely on adjusting the buffer bars—modifying the wear-resistant and buffer layers to enhance performance. However, neither adjustment fundamentally resolves the impact resistance limitations of conventional conveyor buffer beds.

To further improve the effectiveness of buffer beds under existing conditions, structural enhancements have been made to the current design.

To enable the buffer bed to withstand greater impact forces, extend its service life, and better protect the conveyor belt, four buffer springs have been added at the connection points between the bed base and the conveyor frame. The entire buffer bed rests on these four springs. When impacted by materials, a small portion of the force is absorbed by the buffer bars, while the majority is dissipated by the springs. This dual-layer damping system—combining buffer bars and shock-absorbing springs—significantly improves the inadequate damping performance of traditional mining buffer beds.
