A buffer bed consists of buffer strips and a buffer bed support frame. Ordinary buffer beds rely on the rubber on the buffer strips to provide cushioning. Compared to buffer idlers, buffer beds have resolved most of the issues associated with the latter, but general buffer beds still have some shortcomings.

Ordinary buffer beds have a certain angle between the buffer strips, which creates a gap where the belt does not make contact. This blind spot may be punctured by sharp materials.

The buffer bed designed by our company is a gap-free buffer bed that allows for quick replacement of buffer strips. It effectively addresses the insufficient load-bearing capacity of buffer idlers while also optimizing the contact gap issue found in ordinary buffer beds.

Its key feature is maximizing the contact area with the belt, providing comprehensive protection to the belt in the loading zone against puncture by falling materials. A spring mechanism can be added to the buffer bed support frame to provide secondary cushioning when materials fall.
