Mine Buffer Bed

Traditional mine buffer beds often cause severe wear or even scratches on the belt surface of belt conveyors due to their inability to handle the significant impact of large materials and gangue. Currently, traditional mine buffer beds only focus on the buffer bars, adjusting the wear-resistant layer and buffer layer to improve buffering and wear resistance. However, neither adjusting the wear-resistant layer nor the buffer layer can fundamentally address the impact resistance shortcomings of traditional belt conveyor buffer beds.

To further enhance the performance of buffer beds under existing conditions, structural improvements have been made to the current buffer bed design.

To enable the buffer bed to withstand greater impact forces, extend its service life, and better protect the conveyor belt, four buffer springs have been added at the connection between the bottom of the buffer bed and the conveyor's intermediate frame. The entire buffer bed rests on these four buffer springs. When the buffer bed is subjected to material impact, a small portion of the impact force is absorbed by the buffer bars, while the majority is absorbed by the four buffer springs. By adding four sets of shock-absorbing and energy-absorbing springs beneath the original buffer bed, a two-stage shock absorption effect—combining buffer bars and damping springs—is achieved. This significantly improves the poor shock absorption performance of traditional mine buffer beds.
