Main Applications:

1Catalyst: Nano NiO is an excellent oxidation catalyst. Ni2+ has a 3d orbital, which tends to preferentially adsorb multi-electron oxygen and also activates other reducing gases, catalyzing the O2 of reducing gases. In the decomposition, synthesis, and transformation processes of organic compounds, such as gasoline hydrocracking, nano NiO is a good catalyst in petroleum processing for hydrocarbon conversion and heavy oil hydrogenation. In the catalytic combustion of natural gas, to avoid excessive reaction temperatures that oxidize N2 in the air to generate NOx and produce unburned CO, the use of NiO／CuO— Zr02 composite catalysts improves high-temperature stability. In the preparation of carbon nanotubes, NiO／Si02 composite catalysts are used, and when the Ni content is high, the yield of carbon nanotubes is high with a narrow diameter distribution. The content and shape of NiO directly affect the yield and properties of carbon nanotubes. In wastewater treatment, NiO is a catalyst for removing CH4, cyanides, N2, and promoting the decomposition of NOx. Nano NiO as a photocatalyst for degrading acid red is very effective in treating organic dye wastewater;

2、Nano Nickel Oxide Applied in Sensors: NiO has gained increasing attention as a gas sensor material in recent years. Currently, formaldehyde sensors, CO sensors, H2 sensors, etc., made from nano NiO are used in practical production.

3、Nano Nickel Oxide Applied in Battery Electrodes: Current capacitors have become a research hotspot due to their much higher energy density than electrostatic capacitors and much higher power density than traditional chemical power sources. Studies show that ruthenium oxide is a well-researched and high-performance electrochemical capacitor electrode material, but its high cost hinders large-scale application. The high internal resistance of activated carbon has led to a focus on transition metal oxides.
