Nano Molybdenum Trioxide (VK-MO50) is a pale blue-gray powder with an orthorhombic crystal system. Melting point 795°C, boiling point 1155°C (sublimation).

Stable in air, slightly soluble in water (0.68 g/100 mL water), forming molybdic acid; easily soluble in ammonia water, soda ash, caustic soda, hydrofluoric acid, and concentrated sulfuric acid; insoluble in general acids. When heated with hydrogen chloride, it sublimes into pale yellow needle-like crystals. An important structural feature of MoO3 (VK-MO50) is its structural anisotropy. Due to its unique layered structure, molybdenum trioxide and its derivatives are widely studied.
