Advantages of Flexible Printed Circuits (FPC):
Flexible printed circuits are printed circuits made from flexible insulating substrates, offering many advantages that rigid printed circuit boards do not have:
(1) They can be freely bent, wound, and folded, arranged arbitrarily according to spatial layout requirements, and moved and stretched in three-dimensional space, achieving the integration of component assembly and wire connection;
(2) The use of FPC can significantly reduce the volume and weight of electronic products, meeting the needs of electronic products developing towards high density, miniaturization, and high reliability. Therefore, FPC is widely used in fields or products such as aerospace, military, mobile communications, laptops, computer peripherals, PDAs, and digital cameras;
(3) FPC also offers good heat dissipation and solderability, as well as advantages such as ease of assembly and lower overall costs. The combination of rigid and flexible designs also compensates to some extent for the slight deficiency of flexible substrates in component carrying capacity.
