However, quality inspection of FPC in China still primarily relies on manual visual inspection, which is costly and inefficient. With the rapid development of the electronics industry, circuit board design is increasingly trending toward high precision and high density. Traditional manual inspection methods can no longer meet production demands, making automated defect detection for FPC an inevitable trend in industrial development. [1] Flexible circuits (FPC) were developed in the 1970s in the United States for aerospace technology. They are highly reliable printed circuits made from polyester film or polyimide substrates, offering excellent flexibility. By embedding circuit designs on thin, bendable plastic sheets, a large number of precision components can be stacked in narrow and limited spaces, forming bendable flexible circuits. These circuits can be bent and folded arbitrarily, are lightweight, compact, have good heat dissipation, and are easy to install, breaking through traditional interconnection technologies. In the structure of flexible circuits, the materials used are insulating films, conductors, and adhesives.
