Introduction:

The main function of the lump crusher valve is to break up lumps in the material flow from the discharger. These lumps form due to moisture in the storage silo or bin. Since these lumps cannot pass through the discharge outlet of the discharger, they can cause blockages and generate false signals in the flow control valve, misleading the system about the actual flow rate. In minor cases, this disrupts normal production processes; in severe cases, it can lead to a serious imbalance in the ratio of raw materials to fuel, causing excessively high temperatures in combustion equipment and resulting in equipment failure.

The lump crusher valve can be installed horizontally or vertically at the discharge outlet, on the inlet side of discharge equipment such as flow control valves or pneumatic shut-off valves. When large lumps appear in the material, they are immediately crushed to prevent blockages in the discharge valve passage, ensuring smooth material flow. The crusher's rotor is equipped with radially arranged crushing claws that push the lump material through a grid, breaking it apart.

The operational safety of the lump crusher valve is ensured by a motor speed detection device integrated into the electrical control box. If a lump cannot be crushed and jams the rotor, the speed detection device triggers an alarm and automatically reverses the rotor to push the uncrushable material away before resuming forward rotation. If both forward and reverse rotations are blocked, the crusher will automatically shut down and await troubleshooting before restarting.

The speed detection device is an optional feature and must be specified when ordering the equipment.
