Properties

Violent reaction with water: Extremely sensitive to air and moisture, will undergo violent reaction with water and release flammable tert-butane gas.

Flammable: In humid air, due to the violent exothermic reaction, flammable tert-butane gas will be released.

Stability: Operations and storage should be carried out under the protection of anhydrous and oxygen-free inert gases such as nitrogen or argon. Avoid contact with oxidants, acids, alcohols, etc. at room temperature.

Applications

1. Pharmaceutical and chemical synthesis intermediates: Widely used in the synthesis of drug molecules. For example, it is used as a catalyst in the synthesis of camptothecin cyclophosphate prodrugs, which can shorten the reaction time to 24 hours with a yield of 42.5%.

2. Organosilicon compound synthesis: Can be used to prepare tert-butyldimethylchlorosilane, an important silicon-based protecting agent, with a yield of up to 74.2% and a purity of 99.3%.

3. Organometallic compound synthesis: Used to prepare organometallic compounds such as tert-butylarsine.

4. General strong base and nucleophilic reagent: Used as a strong base for deprotonation reactions, or as a nucleophilic reagent for carbon-carbon bond formation, such as the Grignard metathesis reaction of thiophene derivatives.

5. Adhesives and building materials: Can be used as inorganic adhesives for the preparation of carbonized artificial aggregates, and applied in the field of building materials.

Packaging/Storage

1. 500ml glass bottles; 200L iron drums and steel cylinders.

2. During the opening process of this product, isolate air and moisture to the greatest extent, and it is best to use it up once opened. If color difference or micro-precipitation is found in the product, it will not affect the product performance.

3. Store at room temperature.
